Ingredients

  • 1 package (12 ounces) of no-boil lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

Instructions

1. Begin by browning the ground beef with the onion in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once the beef is cooked through, drain any excess fat and discard. Add the pasta sauce, oregano, basil, and garlic powder to the beef and mix together.

2. Grease your crock pot with cooking spray or butter. Spread a layer of the beef and pasta sauce mixture in the bottom of the crock pot. Top with a single layer of no-boil lasagna noodles. Spread a layer of the ricotta cheese over the noodles, followed by a layer of Parmesan cheese. Add another layer of the beef and pasta sauce mixture, followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese.

3. Continue layering the ingredients until all of the ingredients have been used. The top layer should be the remaining mozzarella cheese. Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 4 hours.

4. When the lasagna is done cooking, let it sit for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Equipment

The only piece of equipment needed for this recipe is a slow cooker. Make sure to use one that is large enough to fit all of the ingredients. A 6-quart slow cooker should work well for this recipe.

Notes

This recipe can also be adapted to use regular lasagna noodles that have been boiled according to the package instructions. If using boiled lasagna noodles, reduce the cooking time to 3 hours.
