Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef shank
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup Shaoxing wine
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Cut the beef shank into 2-inch cubes.
  2. Turn the Instant Pot to the Saute function and heat the oil. Add the beef shank and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is lightly browned.
  3. Add the garlic, ginger, and five-spice powder and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
