Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano, salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Transfer the mixture to the crock pot and add the fresh basil. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
